インドスタイルのヴァイオリニスト。

90年代後期、ギタリストとしてのバンド活動時はシタールギターなども演奏し、

98年に河端一、カネコテツヤとアシッドフォークユニット「Floating Flower」結成。

当時リリースしたアルバム2枚が海外各誌で絶賛され、CDやLPでリイシューされた。

その後、サイケデリック・ミュージックや即興演奏を追求していくうちにインド音楽に辿り着く。

01年からインド・ベナレスで Dr.Mohanty に北インド古典音楽のヴァイオリンを一から学び始め、

後にムンバイで Dr.N Rajamにも習う。

現在はバンガロールで南インド古典音楽をDr. L.Subramaniamに師事し、渡印を繰り返している。

14年、インド・ブッダガヤにある世界遺産・大菩薩寺の『仏陀と平和の祭典』に出演。

15、16年 、17年、台湾の『Asian Indian Festival』に出演。

インド古典音楽の演奏の他にも、エレクトリックヴァイオリンやシンセサイザー、ラップトップ

を使用してのソロ演奏、自身のバンド「float」やその他のバンドのサポート、即興演奏で様々なアーティスト

と共演するなどジャンルレスな活動をする。

16年、ROVOの勝井祐二とのバイオリンデュオでライブアルバム”Mythos”や元Acid Mothers Temple,ボアダムスの

ギタリスト田畑満と”Cano Cristales”をリリース。

2016年、2017年エレクトリックヴァイオリンソロでヨーロッパツアーを行った。

Indian style violinist.

Started psychedelic band as guitarist and released two albums with  "Floating Flower" with Makoto Kawabata(Acid Mothers Temple)& Tetsuya in late 90's.

Started to learn violin technique in the Indian style as a beginner from Dr. Mohanty in 2001, and later learned Hindustani music from Dr. N Rajam in India.

Have been learning Carnatic music from Dr. L Subramaniam since 2008.

Played in Bodh Mahotsav concert with the Tokio Hasegawa (Taj Mahal Travellers) group in Budhagaya India in 2014 and also in『Asian Indian Festival』in Taiwan in 2015,2016,2017.

Released live album "Mythos" with violin duo Yuji Katsui (Rovo) and "Cano Cristales" with Mitsuru Tabata (ex.Acid Mothers Temple,Boredoms) in 2016.

Went to European Tour with electric violin solo in 2016,2017.

Went to Australian tour in 2018.

In addition to Indian music, playing various styles and genres including ambient, electronica, psychedelic, improvised music, and so on using electric violin,synthesizer, and laptop as well.
